Aurora SEF - ERP System

Aurora manufactures specialty plastic films, and for years had been able to track their purchase orders, production runs, and sales orders using a handful of spreadsheets. While that allowed them to keep orders flowing, it really didn't give them the ability to analyze and measure their business in the ways they wanted to. And as their business grew, just keeping multiple sheets up to date was becoming more and more time consuming. Aurora approached us with the idea for an end-to-end tracking system that would give them the ability to measure and plan their inventory, production, and sales.


The system we built for them covers their entire product lifecycle: it starts with Purchase Orders to bring raw materials into inventory. Using defined BOMs (bill of materials, or recipes), they schedule and track Production Runs. The system tracks planned vs actual component usage, so they can measure waste and overruns. Customer orders are entered, filled, and shipped, with each product tracked back to the production run, and component inventory, giving them full visibility into materials and labor costs. Multiple reports give hands-on managers the tools they need to right-size their inventory and staff at each level.
